As history repeats itself...

...I sit and watch Americans fall into the plots of "those in power". Now don't go and get all spooky on me (I know I say this alot but I have to keep you folks down to Earth). No one can deny that there are people in power who have organized themselves in such a way as to keep themselves in power.

And don't get turned off by these terms either...

ZEITGEIST is originally a German expression that means "the spirit (Geist) of the time (Zeit)". It denotes the intellectual and cultural climate of an era. It is a term that refers to the ethos of a cohort of people, that spans one or more subsequent generations, who despite their diverse age and socioeconomic background experience a certain worldview, which is prevalent at a particular period of sociopolitical progression.

There's a little (or a lot of) truth in almost everything (including the bible...lol). And as my father would say, "Always search out the truth".

So what does this have to do with history repeating itself??? 

Well with the announcement of the failed Bailout... I just began to think that this point in history sounds a little familiar?

The Panic of 1907, also known as the 1907 Bankers' Panic, was a financial crisis which occured in the United States when the stock market fell close to 50% from its peak in the previous year. At the time the economy was in recession and there were numerous runs on banks and trust companies. The panic's primary cause was a retraction of loans by a number of banks in New York City, and the sentiment quickly spread across the nation leading to the closures of both state and local banks and businesses. The 1907 panic was the fourth experienced in the States in 34 years.

...The following year, Senator Nelson W. Aldrich established and chaired a commission to investigate the crisis and propose future solutions, leading to the creation of the Federal Reserve System.

I began to wonder why people don't inform themselves about what's going on. But maybe people already "know"...its hard not to.
