Islam and Guns

You find it deep in Islamic History...

weapons of war have been used to conquer nations and peoples in the name of Allah. In the light of the new court ruling on guns, I began thinking about the boundaries Islam would set on pistols and its use. I'm always down for protecting my family at all costs...but how Halal are guns in Islam? Islamically are there any restrictions on their use? I'm going to do my research...

I'm looking forward to your findings; I've wondered the same thing. I would think there isn't an issue with it as long as you're defending your family or a solider in a war. As time progresses man adapts to the changes , I mean it would be kinda weird if someone broke into my house and my dad took out a bow and set of arrows to protect us. :) Nonetheless, in the end Allahu Alim.

Islam and Guns? I dont recall ever seeing the word guns in the Quran (probably because its not), but I do recall reading about Battles and crusades. I do recall reading about protecting your wives and children. Does that mean bust a cap in someones ____?LOL...I dont know. Personally I would say that Guns is just a "name" for another weapon of war/crusade. I think regardless of the tool(bat, knife, rock, gun, 4X4) whatever tool(not a human bomb) I think used for war or battles it would be exceptable. Living with you I often hear you say "The Quran" was written for all times..........I agree.......but when time changes , new inventions and creations are made. I think that guns and battle or ok....Guns and home invasions or NO NO NO NO NO(LA LA LA LA LA LA)LOL...I would also follow Mo Mo on this ALLAHU ALIM and let me know about your research.
